I own a 1994 Mustang convertible that I'm restoring. While I've cared for the seats, I practice not think that I could avert them aging while nevertheless being able to savour the vehicle.

Slap-up video! I have been looking to gear up my ain seats only are unable to detect the colour lawmaking, so I guess I take to mix it my self like in this vid. Anyone know where I can buy the products he uses?

Closest I've seen someone come to the procedure I employ on my leather repairs. I do like the await of that pigment prepare though, seems very nifty to have some recipes already on mitt instead of just starting from scratch each time.

Would it not be easier and more effective just to replace the entire seat cushion embrace?

I know for my Grand Prix, it is price prohibitive to do so considering the seat covers are discontinued. I scoured LKQ and never could find whatever that were in any adept status at all. A re-cover at an upholstery place ran about 500 and they also said they couldn't match the perf areas so it wouldn't be all that close to matching the balance of the seats. To do it myself (much like in this video) cost about $25 and I'k certain the finished product, although non perfect, looks a lot better than mismatched perf.

Easier? Maybe. More than constructive? Probably. More than expensive? Definitely.
For my machine, the cover for the lower cushion of the seat is around $300. A more affordable solution would exist profoundly appreciated.

The lower seat covers (semi-aniline leather) in a V70R are ~$1300.

Since we're on seats. How practice you add new cushions, mainly for my butt? I accept a mazda 3, and my seats are not comfortable for long rides.

I enjoyed information technology but it you lot could easily edit it downward to like v minutes of useful content...
I've noticed this trend a lot with auto detailing videos, I suppose it could be due to the community'southward overall higher attention to item (obviously) and so they desire to brand sure nada is ever left out.

He uses a filler to repair holes/tears/creases then matches the color to effectively repair a trashed seat.
Just watch at 2x speed and skip as necessary, that's what I did.
