Nier: Automata is at last getting a fix on Steam
Over four years after release, Satisfying Enix is finally sorting down its shoddy PC port for Nier: Automata. The unbelievably faint proclamation was made over on Nier's Chitter account, which says that the upgrade patch is "currently in development."
The game has been in a pretty battered state on Microcomputer since it released in 2017, with poor ultrawide financial backing, awkward keyboard-and-mouse controls, locked framerate, and issues with stuttering and unmitigated.
Outside of a half-size patch that fixed an first trouble with AMD cards, a major update was ne'er released—though a mod finally came along that fixed the issues. It's a real shame, because the game is dumfounding—our ducky action game of 2017—just the lack of an official fix is incredibly disappointing.
An upgrade patch for the Steamer edition of #NieR:Automata is currently in growth. We'll induce more information to partake in with you at a later date. pic.twitter.com/gUPCLSwgyHApril 13, 2021
The Steam clean porthole came under fire again recently when IT appeared that the Xbox Biz Pass for PC reading had fixed a lot of the problems—though a Integer Metalworks picture ulterior discovered that the port was still bad tame. It didn't block off people from retrospect bombing the gamy on Steamer, though, demanding a version that was risen to scratch with what Xbox was offer.
At least now there's a light at the ending of the long tunnel. There's none estimate for when the patch is emotional, but information technology's nice to know that Square is finally pulling its finger out and getting the port fixed.
